The Green Visa is a new kind of resident visa introduced by the United Arab Emirates. The scheme has been introduced as a part of “Initiatives of the 50” that aims at speeding the UAE’s growth, integrating it into a comprehensive hub in all sectors. This project also aims to promote the UAE as an attractive destination for talents and investors in connection with the UAE’s 50th anniversary.
Holders of the Green Visa, like those with the Golden Visa, will be given self-residency. However, unlike in the past, the residence permit will no longer be linked to a business work visa. Employed individuals, not their employers, will sponsor their self-residency visas.
Eligibility for UAE Green Visa
Investors, entrepreneurs, and extremely talented individuals, as well as top students and graduates from world-class colleges, can now apply for a new self-residency status known as the Green Visa. Entrepreneurs, scientists, and other talented people will be eligible too
You might also be eligible too if you’re a freelancer with expertise in artificial intelligence, blockchain, or digital currencies.
Family Inclusion in UAE Green Visa
The authorities have announced that children up to the age of 25 can be sponsored in the UAE Green Visa program, rather than the prior age limit of 18. Sponsorship is also available for parents.
