Dear Jeremy, thank you for your message. A property bought in the 1990s will not qualify for Greece Golden Visa. Hope this helps, Cheers.

Hello Sharon, you are required to purchase real estate worth 250,000€ or more in order to apply. Depending on when your 230,000€ was purchased, you may be able to count that towards part of the required amount.

Hello Hamad, the property that you acquire needs to be a minimum of €250,000. The construction costs you incur on the property do not count towards the €250,000. Hope this is helpful, feel free to get in touch with our team at info@getgoldenvisa.com if you\’d like to pursue a Golden Visa in Greece.

Since I am from Libya, I would just like to verify if there are any countries that have restricted access to the Golden Visa program. Also, it states 250 thousand Euro for a property purchase, does that have to be a prebuilt property, or could I buy land and have a Greek developer build a property, with blue prints I provide, that equates to over the 250,000 Euro threshold?

Hello Paul, yes, you do need to complete your investment before applying for the Golden Visa.
Before you make your investment, we ask you to provide us with your passport details in order to check if there are any outstanding red flags that would prevent you from obtaining a Portuguese Golden Visa.
Please feel free to email us at info@getgoldenvisa.com and we would be happy to help. Best of luck!

Dear Lena, you may be eligible for a Golden Visa with a property that you acquired previously. Please check with your lawyer that the value of the transaction was officially recorded above 250,000 Euros and that all other details check.
If you do not have a law firm in Greece, we would be more than happy to direct you to one with Golden Visa experience. Feel free to email us at info@getgoldenvisa.com
Hope this was helpful and best of luck…

My Wife & I, having spent our time between living in a property in France/UK for years, now wish to leave both and buy a single property under the Golden Visa.
Many thanks.

Dear Vy, thank you for your question.
After you get your Greek Golden Visa, you should be able to apply for a non-Schengen country visa in their corresponding embassy in Greece. Mind you, you will still need your Vietnamese passport in order for the visa to be issued at.
Hope this helps, let us know if we can help you further at info@getgoldenvisa.com

Hello Phyllida, Greece Golden Visa gives you the right to live in Greece for as long as you want, with no restrictions. However, if you travel in the Schengen area, the Golden Visa card functions as if you have a Schengen Visa. So, that is correct, you are restricted to 90 days of stay each time you enter a non-Greek country in the Schengen. Then, you need to make an exit, before you enter again.
I hope this is clear, feel free to email us at info@getgoldenvisa.com for any further questions.

By: Vy /ultimate-guide-to-greece-golden-visa#comment-836 Sat, 12 Dec 2020 06:37:35 +0000 /?p=34076#comment-836 Dear Get Golden Visa Team,
I have a question regarding to Greek residency.

My family and I have almost completed the application for Golden Visa of Greece. We had the property there. Now we are waiting for quarantine to be over in order to finish the rest of the paperwork. So I will soon become a Greek resident.

According to your article, it is not required for the Greek resident to stay in the country.

So my question is if after I become a Greek resident and I want to travel abroad outside Schengen countries, can I use my Greek residency permit to apply for the visa to travel to that destination country? Or do I have to go back to my native country (Vietnam) and apply travel visa from there?

Thanks and hope for your response.

Vy.

Hi Peter, \”most of the year\” means more than half of the year. So, you need to spend at least 183 days in Greece in order to become a tax resident.

Dear Dr. Rimon, in the case of non-EU citizens who have signed a lease of at least 10 years for hotel accommodations or furnished tourist residences in integrated tourist resorts, provided the minimum value of the lease is €250.000, the contract must require a single payment of the lease for the equivalent of the ten-year leasing of the property.

Hello,
I am inquiring about the 10 years lease contract in hotel or furnished tourist in integrated resort,
My question is, what is the amount that should be paid in advance. In other words, do I have to pay the full 10 years rent in single payment, or the rent should be anually (25,000) then repeating the payment each year.
Thanks in advance.

Thank you for all the information . We are British nationals, currently living in Greece . We are considering obtaining golden visas due to the uncertainty around Brexit. Could you advise on whether position if a golden visa would make taxation on our world wide income mandatory in Greece or can we continue to live in Greece but pay tax in to the UK system?
