Dear Jackson, thank you for your message. Greece Golden Visa gives you residency right in Greece, however, as to the Schengen zone, it only offers a travel benefit, not long-term residence. I’ve forwarded your inquiry to our team, they should be contacting you soon for more details. Meanwhile, please feel free to contact us at info@getgoldenvisa.com

By: Jackson /retire-in-greece#comment-1379 Mon, 31 Jan 2022 14:04:51 +0000 /?p=40681#comment-1379 I am interested in retiring in Greece and traveling. I am a US Citizen, have sufficient funds, and am able to invest E250,000+ for real estate. Does a Greek Residence Permit (golden visa) allow me to stay in other Schengen areas longer than 90 days in a 180 day period (or >180 days in a year)? I already have visa-free entry with a US Passport. Specifically, if I wanted to travel through Europe and Schengen , or rent a flat for more than three months in a different Schengen country (e.g. France or Italy) does the residence permit status allow for that?

Dear Debbie, thank you for your message. The property itself, without the renovation, should cost €250,000 to qualify for Golden Visa. I’ve asked one of our team members to contact you for further clarification. Looking forward to keeping in touch, Cheers

I am an Indian living in Singapore( in late 30’s) and I plan to avail of the Golden Visa in Greece hence looking for more information.

Is buying a house or investing in any property for EURO 250,000 enough to get a PR/ residence permit in Greece for 5 years?

Since I am a working professional right now, I can show my proof of income, investment and savings etc.

But for future when I retire I need to know what other proofs of income or saving would be needed?

Thanks in advance.
Best regards,
JS

Dear Mary, The rule for that is “Lease for at least 10 years or invest in a timeshare for hotel accommodation or furnished tourist residences in a combined tourist facility, as the above facility must be registered with Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO).” So, it doesn’t go for a residential property that is rented out for 10 years. Best regards,

Hi, thank you for that. I note I can get the Greece Golden Visa if I have a 10 year lease with my landlord?
Who do you make the application for residency to in Greece?

Dear Mary, thank you for your message. Greece Golden Visa is only available if you make a qualifying real estate investment, which is a minimum of €250,000. Hope this helps.

I will be renting an apartment from a local landlord. I do not have 250,000 euros to put into a property, nor will I have an income of 2,000 euros a month but I do have more than 24,000 euros savings in my bank. Do I qualify under the Golden Visa program?

Dear Marae, the only age requirement for Greece Golden Visa is that the main applicant is over 18-year old. So, yes, you’re eligible if you make a qualifying real estate investment. Please feel free to email us info@getgoldenvisa.com for further information. Cheers 🙂

Hello Matthew, unfortunately, it would not qualify. You would need to buy a property for €250,000 or more.

The property needs to be demolished and rebuilt. Does the Golden Visa allow you to invest 250,000 Euros in property development for the purpose of living in Greece or must you buy existing property?

Hello Maurice, in case you are planning on purchasing a property in Greece, the Greek Golden Visa would be the most convenient way to obtain your residence permit there. The program requires you to purchase a property worth at least €250,000 and then grants you and your family a residence permit in Greece.

We have a lot of experience with the program, feel free to email us at info@getgoldenvisa.com if you have any questions at all. Best of luck!
