Dear Hind,

Yes, citizens of Morocco are eligible to apply for a Golden Visa in Portugal. Please keep in mind that the real estate investment option has permanently ended; however, fund investment option is still available.

Feel free to contact us for further details!

Dear Eli,

Thank you for your message. This is how it works: Portugal expects you to bring in the minimum required amount from outside of Portugal into the country. So the minimum amount cannot be taken out as a loan from a Portuguese financial institution. However, you can take the amount as a loan from a non-Portuguese financial institution and then bring it into Portugal. Hope this helps. For further assistance, please feel free to contact us at info@getgoldenvisa.com

Dear Lea, Thank you for your message. At this stage, real estate acquisition under Golden Visa Program with the current rules might be late. I’ve forwarded your message to my team and they’ll get back to you with possible options. Looking forward to talking to you soon. Best regards,

Is it possible for us to simply buy in Porto with a mortgage, use that temporarily as a short term rental, and then when we retire in two years get a retirement Visa and live in/rent the property? We are open to a discussion of options, and if it is not too late to take advantage of the Golden Visa in preferred areas or if you have other recommendations, we would appreciate it! Thank you!

Dear Jody, thank you for your message. After five years, all of you might be eligible for citizenship. How old are your children? We’d be more than happy to help if you could send your details to info@getgoldenvisa.com. Cheers šŸ™‚

Dear Brian, thank you for your message. Unfortunately, this type of investment wouldn’t qualify you for a Golden Visa. For further inquiries, please feel free to reach us at info@getgoldenvisa.com

Hello Jennifer, yes, it may. The acquired property needs to be 30+ years old or in an urban rehabilitation area. Our team can help you seek a property that qualifies, please feel free to contact us at info@getgoldenvisa.com
Best of luck!

Does the purchase price plus the cost of refurbishment count towards meeting the ā‚¬350K threshold to obtain a golden visa? Thanks šŸ™‚

Hello Matthew, the Portuguese Golden Visa may in fact be the right solution in your case. Assuming you are a British citizen, you would be able to get a GV when you make a property acquisition above ā‚¬500K in Portugal. We\’ll get in touch with you through email in order to further assist you and answer any questions you may have. Best of luck!
